Key Points:

• Method: Charcoal, Wood, and Pellet Smokers Only = No Electric or Gas heat source allowed

• Competition is a 2-Day event; all entry preparation must occur on site to be eligible for judging.

• Locally sourced Proteins and Produce will be provided to competitors, no outside product allowed.  

• Entry Fee: $200 per Team

• Proteins: Pork Butt and Beef Brisket. 

• Side Dish: Beans and Corn

Prizes:

• Pork Butt - 1st Place $1000  /  2nd Place: $500  /  3rd Place: $250

​

• Brisket - 1st Place: $1000  /  2nd Place: $500  /  3rd Place: $250

​

• Beans - 1st Place: $500  /  2nd Place: $250  /  3rd Place: $125

​

• Corn - 1st Place: $500  /  2nd Place: $250  /  3rd Place: $125

Important to know:

• No more than 25 teams will compete on a first-come, first-served basis. 

• Kersey Area Chamber of Commerce will provide proteins and produce, sourced from area producers, to each team. 

• Competitors will receive guidelines before the event.

• Check-in at the gate for the competition is Friday, 10/2, by 4 p.m. for cook site location and setup. 

• Each team leader will check-in to receive proteins and produce .  

• Teams cannot exceed 4 participants, additional members will have to purchase entry.
